Secondly , where would a person get one made if I do need one ?

I put one on my boat when I was running 9.0's at 115 late in the season in 2013, and never looked back. Jeff Bennett offers a nice one, B1 has a nice one. both are carbon fiber, both perform well. I think Dan Olson offers a aluminum wing.

It sure is nice to have one on there when the wind starts coming up in the afternoon. Little piece of mind in my opinion. believe it or not my boat made its fastest pass after putting it on. I think it kept the nose down allowing the keel to better load the jet drive. Back then my best pass was 8.9X after install it went 8.85

    Just my experience with one.

My old setup ran at 10.80 102mph thought I had a AA impeller spinning it to 6100+~
Found out it is in fact an "A"
so I was not making the power I thought I was (around 750-800hp) it was really like more towards 700

Now boat is being completely redone ,
555 in the neighborhood of 1000hp , Straub Cammed to make max HP @ 6800 or so
Motor being relocated forward to 30" and off ass end
    Pump being Race Prepped
Installing MPD LoPro Intake / loader /shoe / ride plate etc...
Miller inducer and Hardened pump shaft
Losing Droop and installing straight nozzle

I don't know what will happen as far as how boat will perform with these new mods , but I figure it should run a bit better than the 102mph it was before ?
And if so I would like to make as safe at speed as possible , it does get pretty breezy on our lakes down here and sure as heck don't want to blow over hitting a wind gust ?

Does you liberator have full stringers or the thick floor like my 21 Liberator had?

Full stringers , notched / drop down where front seat mounts , it's a medium layup 5-600# hull . Yes for the money I'm throwing at it I hope it runs decent ! Could have bought another hull and restarted with something a lot lighter , but I've had this boat since 1999 ....sold it a couple years ago , bought it back in 2013 , just A lot of sentimental reasons to keep it , and it's a one off , only full flake gelcoat Liberator made
