No compairison to a Vee. They are one of the most forgiving boats on the water. Ride good too. Great lake boat.

And thats the unprickley kind of cacti..I learned how to drive in a vee and I've learned how to make them pretty fast over the years but they are not very forgiving and the only thing thats saved my ass in them is years of motor cross.... stay in the gas when it gets back into the water.....

You drive to Apache all the way from Tucson? That's a long haul. Aren't there any lakes between there and apache? What about the river in yuma, is that closer?

Well as long as you get out on the water that is all that matters. I have driven a long way myself on a few occasions. I go to Parker every summer 5 or 6 times and that is a 4 hour trip each way. When you gotta go, you gotta go!!!

Of course on the big three holiday weekends I gota be there for the trim and all the people and friends, really busy though, have to be really careful. But other than that on every other weekend it is pretty lax and you pretty much have the whole river to do with as you please. I love it on off weekends. The water is glass most of the time and I love to waterski, it doesn't get any better than the lower river on a Monday for hours of sick passes.
