Default Need more top end speed

I have a 1978 Bubbledeck. It has bbc and berkeley pump with jack plate and place diverter. Boat gets out of the whole quickly but only tops out at 65 mph. How do I increase top speed without losing hole punch?

Sell it and buy a v-drive!

Most jet boys already know that, but prefer to keep throwing money to make that brick go faster.
The truth is, they know they would have to learn how to drive a boat and pay attention to how deep the water is.
Neither one is going to happen for most.

There is hope for a few though.

Why does it seem like so many v-drivers have attitudes about jet drivers? It also seems like the jet people will defend themselves more often than have the opinion that the v-drives are that wrong.

Maybe because the boats look so much the same? Or that the same hull boat in a Jet is so much more affordable?

The boats are different, very different and unique in their own ways.
