    Default Good riding jet boat,serious..LOL

whats the best riding 19'jet boat, I was thinking of a 19' daytona ?
I never rode in one , but the more I look at the tunnel bottom
the more I think that there is a lot of flat surface that would
have to pound the hell out of you....

look'n for a good river cruiser that rides good, doesn't have to be the fastest bottom
but the best riding when if gets a little ruff

    anyone?

i've rode/driven in every type of tunnel, most vhulls, gullwings and by far the best ride on the lake is a gullwing. best riding boat in a race is definately a tunnel imo.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

any tunnel will be a better ride. Are you looking something that only has 2 seats? Because thats about all you get with a 19.

I'd take a look at the boats Danny with DCM is building in a jet... You're not going to get much of a ride with any 19' anything in rough water. Makes my back, kidneys, and teeth hurt just thinking about it.

I don't have 60k to spend on a jet boat, what I'm wondering , does the daytona
or tunnel type have a better ride in the boat wake rollers, or the little v bottom type

Post this in the Jet boat section.

Do you have a size preference and when you say "cruiser" are you looking to river race, water ski or what. Daytona's ride great but the 19' are very limited on elbow room. I've ridden in a few deep Vee jets that ride great. I was surprised. My Gullwing rides pretty damn good but tunnels ride damn nice hard to beat that's for sure.

The Ultra seems to have a decent bottom. The step skier if they do that in a jet would be nice. We've been through 4 jets and I have the back to prove it.

I remember back in the day, the bigger jets seem'd to suck twice the gas....

The 19 Daytona's ride like a magic carpet. I personaly own one and have owned many 19' boats. The ride even in rough stuff is awesome, yes you must get on top, but once your there it's smooth as glass. Nothing like one once you get the nack of getting them up on top. Buy one you will be happy. I have ran mine into the 90's on glass, hit a hole and came out the other side with a smile. In my opinion they are the most forgiving hull made. Anyone that says different has not had a long enough relashionship with one or has trully never owned one.

I know I'll get heat for this, but at 19', with elbow room, seats for 4, decent speeds, very decent ride, affordable, my money buys a Miller. Just my .02

We had a 19', 2 20' Carreras, 21' Spectra and a 21' Advantage EFI - all jets. They were all about the same except the Advantage which was tug boat.

The advantage was more of a 22' and heavy anyway. It seems like when you move over 21' it all goes to hell with a v-bottom jet.
