I would talk to Skagen. Them boys up north can make those 21's fly.

Call chris at b1 racing in Santa Ana, he is setting up my 19 now and moving the engine forward.

Most 21 daytona's run in the neighborhood of 19-20 inches from the inside of the transom to the back of the engine. Both Tony Skagen and Chris at B1 will likely advise you to bring that forward a bit if you're looking for performance. They were both involved in the 21 daytona that my father and I built and they advised us to go as far forward as possible. Our boat is an older style 21 ('83) and the engine is 24 inches from the transom.

    Good luck!
