Default NJBA Changes 2015 Safety rules for Speeding and Setting Records

    May 15, 2015

    Hello People

The NJBA has changed how the ET and MPH are set.

The ONE TIME over the speed limit used to set the records is now disallowed. There are more undesirable penalties too, check it out at the Schedule, Points & Results

Just checking but did you notice the other changes Willis? Not the penalties but the course change.

Good decision IMHO to go 1000'.

1/4 mile records are a done deal looks like.

In the past 1000 Ft MPH times have been labeled inaccurate.
    Is this still the case.

The 1000 ft course has it's own time trap between 900 and 1000 feet which is turned off during a 1320 run.

Then,Why were they recorded by Duane Simms in the past when left ON and called inaccurate ?

Have you not paid attention to the previous threads and discussions about this?
The speed traps are finish line only. One set at 1320 for 1/4 mile classes, the other at 1000' for 1000' classes
The 1000' set is not active on 1/4 mile runs. The timing system
gives estimated speeds at the 660' on all runs and 1000' estimated speed on 1/4 mile runs.
