Default NJBA Lake Ming May 2015

    May 17, 2015

    Hello People

Here are a few highlights for 149 Tsunami.

The first call to the rope was announced and the boats headed down to the lineup area where this was going at the normal rate. So, here I am at the rope and the starting barge personnel said left lane, “thumbs up when you are ready”, that’s where my grim-lins began!

Was towed off the lanes and we started to looks for why the voltage drop was being the problem and starting issues.
My crew and I began to look and test all devices and charging equipment to find the culprit.
By now the NJBA was on the second call for qualifying. I had to go into Bakersfield and buy a new battery. After arriving at the race course, I decided to see who I could buy a new starter from.

The first team I decided to ask was Team C, Mark had a starter.

I want to take this time to thank:
    Team C Performance
    16706 Lakewood Blvd
    Bellflower, CA 90706
    1-562-866-3887

Mark and Kevin, Thank you for the team support, we were able to continue racing and got the last round of qualifying.

For those of you who were not here, the Un-blown Fuel Jets were off the charts, really good numbers for the first 1000 foot race course, well done

With the change in course length for several classes, are they establishing new records? If so, what are the new records and who got 'em?

congrats willis. not sure about the legality of that et as a record. 5.81 isn't a 1% backup for a 5.72. would seem like the record should be 5.81.

nah. I just read a rule book once while staying at a holiday inn... and if ya re-set records 6 times in one year, you kind of get familiar with it. rules haven't really changed that I can tell... just sayin...

Thanks for the kind words and congrats on the new record.
If any other racers are in need of parts at the track, come by our trailer, we may have what you need.
We try to bring a lot of extra parts.
Also, I would like to congratulate my son Kevin on his first win ever. He won the QE class this past weekend, not bad for a rookie driver!

    Thanks,

The Team C crew kicked ass it was fun to watch. They took out Arek in the final which was tough but watching friends battle it out made it awesome to watch. Bud was fired up nice way to end a great weekend.
