    Default Pump rebuild

    What would someone expect to pay ( labor only)
    for a complete basic JG pump rebuild?
    including replace wear ring, seals, impeller, bearings ect.

    I have no idea but im going thru my first one my self. I had the shaft and impeller turned proffesionaly but it hasnt been that hard so far... Then again its not all back together and working either.. Lots of helpfull folks around here.. I say try it your self.

    I did 5 pumps last year... I'm just trying to figure out
    what I should be charging.

    Bench labor (without mill or lathe work) tends to run between $200 and $400 Tom

    Thanks for the replies, up till now I have been doing it for Crown Royal and Beer.

    well that is easy i can buy beer and i get bottles of that stuff free.., in fact i have one sitting on the counter unopened..

    I didn't say it was a bad thing doing it for Crown
    but its difficult to trade Crown for boat parts on the internet

    Jim Guthrie rebuilt my pump (all new bearings, seals, gaskets, etc.) for $400.
