stress cracks?

    Default stress cracks?

    being that i have a 33 y.o boat orginal gel coat with not one stress crack. my ? is... can i do anything to prevent stress cracks from happening, also what causes them to start. thanks..

    I think stress is the culprit!! LOL...Just kidding. You are lucky, no cracks with a 33 yr old hull. Mine has one on the driver side in the usual spot. About in the middle

    Practically all older jets and V-drives boats have them hear and there (or will) particularly at the R and L rear corners where the gunnels curve into the transom area, in my experience even once they appear they seldom seem to get worse Tom

    i have absolutely no stress in my life.lol. maybe that is why my boat is stress free...i figured the more the beating of the boat the more likely a stress crack would happen, just looking for more info than i already know, which isnt alot..

    ya i know alot have them that is why i searched so hard for this one, is there anything to keep them from happening, oh by the way tom i still have not installed the forward/reverse cable. i think my new policy is you cant charge me until i install. sound good..

    Milky , Im think we need to trade jobs Bud , would they let me drive that truck for a bit so's I can DE- stress

    ps can you "sample" too ?

    actually i get to pick once a month what i would like to sample in a bottle..i ahve 5 full bottles sitting on the counter..
