Default 1978 Miller "Project" San Diego Please Advise

    So, here it is:

I recently bought a 1978 Miller from a family member who is ill and can't operate it anymore. The bones of the boat are incredible, but everything needs to be put back in place.

I was wondering where I should bring it in San Diego to get her running. Between my pops, friends and myself we can do the fine tuning, but I want it to be assembled right the first time. Attached are some pics of what I have going on.

Thanks for the input! The boat is in Lake Elsinore right now, so that is a great option.

Might try looking up San Diego Performance Marine I think it's called. I believe the owners name is Niel and goes by SPDM here on the boards. Also another guy here on the boards BOSTICK I believe he's in El Cajon area if that's a reasonable location to ya. Both guys are very well regarded here on the boards by many. Good luck with whom ever you choose. It appears it's pretty close to complete, meaning appears most of all the important ($) parts/pieces are there and just needs reassembly. Seems you could get a Seloc manual ( like Chilton manual for cars/trucks) for jet boats and use it to guide you through the process, probably get it together in a weekend or two. Then you would really know your boat and be able to more readily resolve any issues on the water that will surely arise some day down the road. Of course questions with pics. here on the boards can be very fruitful for assistance too. Lot's of great, knowledgeable people here very eager to help a fellow jet boater out. Looks like a nice boat. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Awesome brother great advice! I left a message on facebook and voicemail for bostick and I'm having the hardest time getting a hold of Neil. His number is out of service and he hasn't been active on the forums since late 2014, it's pretty odd. I've reached out to Joe at JP Marine and Tom at Jet boat performance so far and they seem pretty cool too.

So I took it to Joe at JP marine, but it looks like Joe isn't working anymore and his son Mike is going to look at it and get back to me Mon or Tues. I haven't heard anything about Mike, but I'm hoping he has the reputation of his father.

Mike is a great guy..... Joe has had a few health set backs but is still very involved in the operation. They just rigged a new gullwing for one of my buddies and it came out exactly as expected....
