    Default Engine Hatch sound Dampening

Has anyone tried to dampen the mechanical engine noise on a doghouse or full engine hatch?

What materials did you use, and how well did it work?

I love the exhaust sound but I can't hear it over the engine noise from inside the boat.

I'm able to chat with my passengers while cruising... Light panel of ply underneath with materials you see over it.

Thanks, I was thinking about DynaMat for mine, I just didn't know if it worked well.

This is what I'm working with. All Fiberglass with a thin layer of foam under the vinyl.

Marine foam over the ply then vinyl over that... dynamat works great on steel in a car.
