I had to raise the boat up higher on the bunks then I wanted to because the fenders are 12" wide to acomidate the 285 55 18 rubber and keep the hole thing under 8'6" wide I am not dead set on if is to high to unload at a shollow ramp or not what do you think

I wouldn't worry to much about 8 6 if you just need an inch or so. If its for reg purposes leave it then do some spacers on the wheels later and drop it down. I think it looks good now but they always look better the lower they are and 8 6 or 8 8 no one will ever know. It also seems to sit either perfectly level or down a hair in the front and that is how my boat sits, It is better if you can angle it down a little in the back I have issues with gas coming out the filler necks every once in a while and thats with half full tanks. Nice job!

id say drop that trailer a little more and put the 285on your truck and put some 235 or 245 on the trailer to make it low and smooth looking then you would not have anyproblems with the water depth anywhere

yeah a buddy and myself fabbed it up in two evnings after work. I also thought about dropping the tire size from the 55 seris to a 35 or 40 but I have not tried them on yet
