    Default Record 7

I bought a boat yesterday from the original owner with the original paperwork/pink slip. The brand name is "Record 7". Anyone ever heard of it or know anything about it?

This particular boat is a 1978, full stringers, real nice multi-colored gel coat job, 460 Ford, Dominator pump, shallow V.

I used to have one. Made in Paso Robles. It was a jetboat with a t deck. Very solid boat, ran 70 with 330 horse 454. Loved it in it's day

Maybe parts of it but not all of it. Gunnels (sp?) are different, bottom is different.

EDIT after looking at the pics ? does that boat have a "belly tank" for fuel ? I think I had one in a few years back (mad fuel leak!) Nice boat other wise as I remember !

Rod, deffinetly a late 70's southwind splash! Pictures don't show me different. Just like the early coles. Challenger ,tahiti and god knows how many others were either produced by southwind and rigged by another company and name or slpashed off the original mold .

I did a quick search on this forum before I posted that it is different than a Southwind (parts of it), type in Southwind in the search bar and take a look.

Damn Mark, I thought for sure you would head straight for the phone trying to pry this Record 7 out of my hands.

How about now, are you running for the phone?
