Default Help with boat i just got, please!!

So i did some work for a customer and he was moving so i ended up with this boat. He had got it from dad after he passed and it was on the water and apparently in great shape.problem is,its been out of water since 07 and he cant find titles. He gave me bill of sale and ill have to deal with that at some point, but i trust him.so i see its a hallett, and thats all i know.customer didnt have any idea, other than a jet boat, big block chevy he thinks.no idea on year or model? Is this boat gonna be a pain and expensive to get going again? What Is it worth in lake ready shape? Whats it worth as it sits, and what is it,lol. Thx in advance and if any of you wanna take it off my hands, let me know,id love a decent lil fishing boat, jet ski or dirt toy.

    Default Mega bucks...

From the pictures it looks like a Hoverjet. They only made 6 of them so it's likely worth about $10 grand.... Or maybe a fishing boat without the oars...

Seriously, how are we to tell you anything without pictures???

DMV in Cali will give you papers etc to fill out. He will need to sign some sections. A bill of sale is also needed. For boat and trailer. It wasn't too bad of a deal. They might want to do a verification also. Meaning it'll need to go to the dmv.

Post play pics of boat trailer, engine, interior. Stringer area. If you have a vin it'll be easy to figure out what you have.

Look on the back of the boat . There should be a hin # . See what the 1st 3 letters are and do a USCG hin look up.

2 - Look at the last 3 digits of the hin and it will tell you what year model it is .

It is a HALLETT mini cruiser. Probably 75-77. I had the same hull. Built like tanks.
