    Default Manipulator 321 build

Well it's official, I got the wife's blessing lol. I am starting the build of my Ervin Capps Cheyenne that I have had for some time. After going to the Arkansaa White River rumble race I got the bug really bad. Seeing Hass win King of the Hill, Ervin win the second chance and Jeff win the ET class was all it took. Wish Craig and Bam Bam had not broke. They had the best ET until the very end.

I got the boat out and gave her an overdue and well deserved wash down. I pulled the motor out from under all the blankets and was surprised at how well it looked after sitting for so long. I have started the recommishing process. It only has maybe 10 passes on it. I pulled the rockers when I put her to bed. I have Squirted WD-40 in all the cylinders and turned it over regularly.
So now the process starts. The hull is virgin so I want to take my time and do it right the first time. I have been in contact with my good friend and builder of my motor Steve Brule' on the engine details.
He is amazing with all his knowledge!!
I can't wait to get her going!!

Thanks Hass. Did Ervin get your intake form Duane yesterday. He said something about it when I talked to him yesterday.

Thanks Duane. We can't wait. Still may give the boss a chance to drive once it's dialed in. It would be fun to see her out there terrorizing the guys. I am a little concerned because she is pretty fearless. Lol. That's why I would make sure the boat is set up well first.

I may need your help with my pro data logger. Not to sure about the triggering of the system. Can get it hooked up pretty well but never got it to log during a pass the one race I had it installed. Took it off after that.

Ill ask him if he minds if I post up a pic of the boat, but all I'm doing is tuning and small changes. Good looking turbocharged stealth though.

Hey mike. Yeah we have talked about that very thing. I agree with you, however since we thought that since it is not to likely that we would show up at the same race we would keep the number too. Besides it also goes with a name. When the name of a boat is announced at a race it is always tied with the number of the boat. I can't imagine another number that would go with the name of our boat. It has always been Manipulator 321 for about 20 years. It's not set in stone yet. I also thought about 911 since I dislocated my artifical hip at the Arkansas race a couple of weeks ago and had to call 911 to have ambulance come get me and take me to the ER, but I don't want to jinx myself either with 911 as a number. We will see lol.

There's only one 911,and that is Pay me Later

The 321 has been with the Cheyenne since it was born and raced in Cali

That's pretty much what i done when I bought the boat but then when I found out the history about it and it was the 321 from the day it was born I thought it was fitting to keep the number with the boat, but thats just me .. Its been on it since it started racing and it never left it ..

In that part of the country I wouldn't wonna use the 911

You do what you wont to Doc, I just sayin with a new hull it might be time to start fresh
