    Default Wwud ?

Which is easier , set motor on motor rails and bolt up Then drop whole assy into boat and once driveline angle is correct drill stringers and motor rails
    OR
Mount rails with c-clamps to stringers and set motor in loose and jacking with it until everything lines up ?

I set mine on the rails clamped to stringers, measure measure measure then drill

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Drill rails, clamp rails to the stringers, align motor with pump using a rough cut/machined set of motor plates, then drill stringers. Build pillow blocks and finish motor plates once its all lined up perfect.
