    Default march edition of PB

I just received my march printed edition of PB

looks like us jet guys have been left out again

a quick scan thru the pages netted the words Jet Boat twice
one of which was an ad from Jet Boat Performance,
the other was from an article where the writer failed to get any
coverage of jet comp because his batteries failed

I'm sure this post will get deleted, but I felt like expressing my
    disappointment.

I would like to see some info on the Hi Helix impeller or loaders.

Yah, I keep hoping to see a bit more coverage of jets, v-drives and even outboards but it still seems to be focused on the larger (and newer) boats.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and will keep buying it (at the stand) for a while longer.

To be fair though, this board is exceptional

i think that is what put hotboat under. no one wants to look at the big baller boats that we all cant have. you can do a whole issue on just the bad as boats that are in the jet section.dont follow hotboats lead and leave us small time guys some shine.

I agree. Those "baller" boats are just plain boring. Old boats rule!

Yeah I think the small boat guys are not really into all the big boats with the same gay flame gell....but when I take my flattie to the sandbar in havasu all the big boat guys crawl out og their ships and come look at my bucket...Its where most of them started and they seem to respect the little boats and the fact that most guys pretty much built them..With that said I dont understand why we dont get more coverage..We spend alot on our boats and most of the ads are if the little guy except for the big boat builders...Guess its all money....With all the bad ass boats jets or v-drives just that post on here you could fill pages for years...Much less the boats that dont post...ok I am done...

Yep, I will never buy a subscription to a magazine that caters to the big boats. But hey with the economy who's going to want to read about big boats that NO one can afford anyways. Anyone who has somewhat of a clue should realize that market is DEAD. I wonder how many baller boats will be sold this year VS. how many kick ass river rods that will be restored and be running like banshees????

First off I'm with you guys, having said that I wonder what kind of percentage pays the bills at pb. In other words do you think subscriptions and ads are 50/50? I dunno, I'm totally guessing, but I bet it works out that ads pay for the bulk of it. I don't have a subscription, but if they'd even throw us bone like the last half dozen pages like HB did for a while, I'd consider it. I wonder how the "vintage" issue is comming along that was talked about previously in open water??

Probably due to the boat show. I sure hope there will be more jets and v-drives.

From a marketing stand point, the lake rods like we have, will show the consumers, the manufactures products, ten fold over a ballers boat buried in an engine compartment. hot rod/ carcraft have survived with out the big three, doing new car features. After the fall out of 2009 and beyond, you will see a resurgence of the smaller boats, becoming more common.
