    Default TX 19 pump placement

I was wondering if anyone had a TX19 with the pump in it's stock location and then setback the pump, what affect did it have?

I'm guessing this is the stock location...

    Thanks

This one shows it a little better without that big bulbous fiberglass cover on it.
I'm not sure if this is the stock location or not. It had been removed and
reset twice before I got it. At first I thought it was stock, but now I'm not so
sure. If that's where they put the intake when they built the boat, the pump is
too far back for a standard Berk transom cover.

Maybe they did set it back some and that's why they went with the big fiberglass
deal? If it was setback it was only by a couple bolt holes or so (2" maybe). There's
still a couple inches of fiberglass left behind the intake (didn't break out the back).

Handhole wings/bolts are exactly even with the transom. Made it a little more
difficult to make the recessed transom cover. Half inch either way and it would've
    been much easier.

You still have your panties in a bunch over Rod's comments in your 'for sale' thread huh? I've read and reread his post and it's in NO WAY disrespectful of you or your ride, which is quite nice btw. You should relax my friend.

Oh he was serious with that comment. I thought he was kidding around.

I had to go read the thread after that. I agree much too sensitive. I saw nothing wrong with the post/thread. He gave you his honest opinion. It's an OPINION.

When you post something up on an open forum you're going to get some opinions whether you asked for them or not. If you want everyone to agree with everything you post..............good luck. Probably aint gonna happen.

If you don't like this post, fire back. I'll respect your OPINION even though I may not agree with it.

Post script............this is just my opinion.

If I remember right. It was 1.5" in from the inside of the transom.

    Default Thanks for the reply's!

The TX19 I just bought has the same transom cover as Squirtcha's boat did when he bought it. I actually don't mind the look of the transom cover. I think I read several people chime in on Squirta's thread that they thought it was a ugly transom cover (LOL). With that said, I'm wondering of performance differences between where it is now (like when Squirtcha bought his boat) and if I moved it back a bit (where Squirtcha moved his boat's pump too now) and I am hoping to read a reply from someone who has run their TX19 both ways.

I look forward to running anyone and everyone, yourself included. I apologize if my post in your for sale thread rubbed you the wrong way, it wasn't meant to. I have nothing against you or your Rogers and I think you've accpomplished a lot with it already, a lot more than I have with any boat I've owned so far. Bring it! (You just will have to wait until my boat is ready, LMAO).

Hey Rod, With an early tx g/w you want the hand hole cover dead centered with the transom. Dont sweat the transom adapter just build a couple of plates! I dont like the transom adapter but squirt has his intake about right! M

We just made transom plates for a TX-19 like that yesterday. Don't have a problem with the looks of the transom box except that it makes them so hard to work on or change impellers quickly. The plates are very easy to make.
