Default Why this jet boat guy loves off road racing

San Felipe is coming up in a few weeks ... anyone going?

While racing jet boats is cool, Trophy Trucks are bad ass:

    Bad ass for sure.
I would hate to have something go wrong with those
    spectators being so close.

It seems sometimes they just like to see how close they can get. It is real hard to watch those videos Brian knowing what I have sitting in the Garage. Maybe sometime before I get too old I will be able to get back out there for a few more.

I love Baja I'm just damn sad it's turned into such a hell hole. My brother and a few friends have won (their class) the 1,000 (3 times) 500 ( 4 times) on Class 30 (motorcycle) usually just got beat by 2-3 Open bikes and 1 250 bike ( Tim Morton's team) The goal was to always stay ahead of the first Trophy Truck.

I've been 6ft off the course with Ragland and Gordon driving by at 130 in the dirt, but I'm smart enough to do that on a smooth straight:

Both Swift and Baldwin were driving over their heads in these crashes. In the Swift Crash he had pulled second place by several minutes at about 65 miles into the race, by driving balls out and it caught up to him as caught on the video. I believe his co-driver died.

    Default I'll be there

actually preran that part of the coarse last year in a Class 1 buggy. It's one thing to do 100 on the water, and tottally different doing it thru 3 foot woops and passing the locals who want to reach out and touch the car as you go singing by . we decided to drink a few beers befor the ride , never had to piss so bad in all my life . What an experiance, cant wait for it !

hopefully we do better this year, broke in the last 30 miles

YES BOTH BRIAN & BRENT. THEY ARE GOOD PEOPLE.I HELP OUT WHEN I CAN . I TRY TO GO TO MORE OF THE RACES WHEN I CAN, BUT THE MEXICO ONES ARE A LITTLE HARDER FOR ME TO GO TO DUE TO THE TIME THAT I NEED TO TAKE OFF OF WORK. USUALLY THE SCORE 500 AND 1000 ARE A LOT LONGER TIME SPENT DOWN THERE, SO I HAVNT BEEN ABLE TO GO TO EITHER ONE . THE SAN FELIPE RACE USUALLY IS ONLY A FOR DAY TURN AROUND.
