Default The Poor man's GPS speedo

I bought me a Garmin GPS and whipped me up an acrylic mount. 100 bucks and I can use it in my truck. Just wanted to show it off.

I think the day's of running a ruber hose out the back end of a boat are over. That looks good.

I need to replace mine but the damn GPS speedo's are ridiculously priced, this is a good ideal

I thought so too but just like most technologies, they get very affordable over time. You can get the garmin nuvi 205 for a $150 at best buy.

I really like the Garmin Quest. It's waterproof and cheap. Perfect for a boat speedo. http://cgi.ebay.com/GARMIN-QUEST-2-i...3A2%7C294%3A50

Is that powered by the boat battery or does it run on its own AA batteries?
