my engine out of the boat yesterday, because my dad hadn't pulled his smblk off of my big engine stand yet so I played with my radar gun and laptop.

Winter toy project:

TTR-125L before and after:

Stock TTR-125 8.1 hp trq 6.5

Modified to a 150 with 11.5:1 compression, cam, head work: 11.5 hp trq 8.3

Modified by www.Crowerperformance.com

That's a 40% power increase and 28% trq increase. With the stock pipe on and the screen still on the spark arrestor.

The results:

The change to the 49T rear sprocket while riding it feels faster than the radar gun shows. The stock rear sprocket is 54T and 1st gear is over like "now" and 2nd doesn't last much longer. I switched to a 49T and it still pulls the front end up without any help shifting to 2nd gear and it runs like crazy on the long TT track at the house.

CHEATER!!! CHEATER!!! CHEATER!!!

I thought the rules were STOCK pipes and STOCK motor! Even though you own the racetrack you still have to play by the rules....thats OK though, when I whip your ass on my STOCK xr100 Saturday it will be that much sweeter! Racetrack opens at 2pm, racing starts at 3pm sharp :)

Oh crap do I remember the XR100 days when my kids were little. My son raced enduros on one (no bike rules) and flattrack on another. In flattrack, stock means anything but!! Lightened chain/sprockets, gearing up the a$$ so you always had the right gearing for the track/weather. Totally worked over suspension made to look stock, reworked "stock" pipes, air box/filter mods and the list goes on. Was never so glad to see my kids move up to full size bikes. Friggen XR100's are expensive to go so slow.
The 100 Nationals run once a year in Lodi (our home track). These aren't stock and are allowed most any mods except displacement. Not one of the front 10 finisher's bikes cost less than $10k, most quite a bit more.
Now a bunch of dads on a small track with 100's and just playin is frikken cool... We still have my kids XR100 enduro bike in our trailer for a pit bike.

Yeah, the worst that can happen is a dislocated shoulder and two broken ribs. It was karma ,because two rides before he took out my 11 year old nephew :|err :|err doing something really stupid.

But you didn't allow the baddest under 150cc bike in town...

All I know is there would have been asswhoop spread all over the place... kinda like the way Fords get it when... well whenever they try to race any type of event against a Chevy...:D:D:D

Sorry didn't make it... felt like crap when I got home... too much sun perhaps:(

This took abit I had hoped to have them posted two weeks ago:

The Cameraman is Scott Burnworth on a CRF-150 (aircooled) with a Crower cam and head work. Scott was a factory Yamaha rider in the '80's (two or three time outdoor National runner-up (250cc) In the long video that's my brother James on our TTR-125 (built 150) that Scott is chasing on the long track 7/10th mile. Enjoy:
