    Default BUYER BEWARE ----- aluminumgastanks.net

Preface: I am not usually someone who flames or post criticism, but I do not want someone else to have the experience I have had with this individual.

I contacted Tim at aluminumgastanks.net on 10/20/2015 and ordered 2 custom tanks for my Youngblood. I was told that I would have them within a week and the Charge to my credit card went through in full on 10/22/2015. After 2 weeks I contacted him and he stated he was behind and I would have them the next week. They did not show up so I contacted him again last Monday 11/9/2015 and he said he was shipping them Tuesday and I would have them by the weekend, 11/17/2015. They did not show up. I contacted him today 11/16/2015 and asked why I did not receive them, he stated they shipped Friday, I asked for a tracking # and he said he did not have time to provide that for me. I explained that I have been extremely patient and that I paid him $620 and he has time to give me a tracking #. His response "we are done here". My response, we are far from done, I requested a refund or I will dispute the charge. His response, I just a need a few more days, though he stated they have already shipped. I have disputed the charge....

I did a search for his business also known as 'The Buggy Shop", and unsurprisingly there are others out there who have had similar experiences with this individual. Once again, this is my personal experience. I have contacted him several times, been very patient, and have been lied to by him every time I spoke with him. I personally do not recommend doing business with him.

I had the same thing happen to me. Every time I called, I heard "We are behind, have it done in a week" three times before my tank showed up. On top of that it had a nice pin hole on one of the welds. Pissed fuel everywhere. Called him again. He told me to send it back to be fixed. Shipping was on my dime. F that. I ended up getting it fixed locally. Bad deal. Sorry to hear this kind thing happened to someone else..

They aren't cheap, but I'd pay the additional and go Imco. You never know if you'll want to play with Alcohol. Aluminum doesn't stand up.

Thank you very much! I was just looking at there website today.
Need new tanks for the Howard and they seemed like a "not to good to be true deal" but just a good priced deal.

I ordered a set back in July from them, took a month to get them. I ordered them with no filler necks or outlets just round tanks till took a month. Paid almost $600 for them, will never buy from them again. When I need another another set I will buy them from Unique Metal Products, they were way cheaper and are local for me. I would have bought from UMP in the first place but I couldn't get a hold of them for 2 weeks.

Well, the tanks showed up today. I was told by him Monday morning they were shipped Friday. The tracking shows they were shipped Monday afternoon. I disputed the charge Monday with my Credit Card company and ordered a set from IMCO, who were much better to deal with. I returned his to him, did not even open the box.
