    Default american turbine??

i am doing the jacuzzi yj energizer conversion. my question is can anyone post me some pictures of your single line water cooling off your pump? my jacuzzi has always had two. one on either side of the bowl. one goes to one side of my motor and the other to the other. do i need a "Y" or do i use a "T".where do i put it? up close to where they go into the block, or back where the single comes out of the bowl? i understand that most all of you have always had one feed for your cooling. i have always had two.
    Please Help.

i am running an olds 455 with logs

No need to use both , with the energizer you'll only have one available anyway, some YJ and OMC suctions were made that way one outlet will be fine ,suggest you thread the new tube into the bowl with some teflon paste before you assemble the bowl to the modified suction call if you need help Tom

here is how mine is plumped for a WJ.

Single line off the pump in a T then to both inlets on the motor.

Its kinda hard to see in the pic.

Yea pretty much. That hose will hold an insane amount of pressure not that I need it though.

Welcome to the site Sleekcraft. I'm in Silverdale and you'd be surpised how many peeps are up her in the snow and cold. I'd be tickled pink to help anyway I can.

Good luck and let's see some pics of your ride..........john

Give Tommy a buzz too. He won't lead you down the wrong path.

This is how mine was plumbed years ago..... stolen from Proppy

And here's a different take where the logs get the cold water first...

Heres an example of a Jacuzzi bowl note the "plug" in one side @ about 3 oclock these jet bowls could have had water coming from either side but two IMO could only cause problems Thought this pic might help run either or, not both run your inlet water to a open T and then to the front of the motor where the water pump inlet holes are .. Also, for a more local flair, the following site is kinda the Northwest hangout for all of us and you'll probably find somebody that lives very close to you if you post up there.

Tony and Jerry Skagen are good people and provide us our own forum site........john

    Default thanks

tony is the one who sold me my energizer kit. i have delt with his dad for years. i rebuilt my YJ back in 03. Skagin marine has always been top dog in my book! i have been on these boards and Hotboat for years. i have always been intimedated by all the hundred thousand dollar rides on here. i love to look at them, and get ideas from them, but have to boat on a budget. i bought my sleekcraft in 03. built an olds 455 (thanks to the hotboat boards i believe i have done a pretty good job). i am going on my seventh season. it has always sucked having an olds 455 with a jacuzzi YJ. this has been the most reliable and most fun boat i have ever owned. i am pumped that i will soon have the diverter i have always wanted. thanks for all your help

Awesome!!! There's a number of Olds guys that are part of the Skagen clan. Hope you can hook up with us on some of the get togethers. Really nice folks and no $100,000 boats in this bunch. Just folks wanting to have some fun on the water.

    Take care........john
