    Default Dimarco jetboat

I have a 19' 77 Dimarco jet with a berkeley 12jc pump looking to do a pump set back and a engine upgrade, was wondering who would be the best to talk to about pump set up and parts. This boat has a mild 427 bbc and does 65 mph on gps at 4800 rpm. This boat drives great and handles very well at this speed. I would like to be in the 90 mph range, what would it take to get there? I want to build a 632 bbc and do a new pump will this get me there? Any info would be great. Thanks

Welcome to the boards 632, I see your already infected with the faster jet boat sickness, congrats. haha Have any pics of your Dimarco to share? We don't get to see those too often, pretty rare. I would think your goals are very obtainable with a reasonably well set up hot rod.

Thanks jetjunky, faster boat is definitely addictive and it's funny how a guy finds himself wanting more and more and willing to spend piles of cash to get it. Here are a few pictures.

nice lookin float, I like that long deck look, sleek and clean lines. what's the bottom look like? rounded keel, flat keel, strakes? got any pics? Is it a splash or was it their own design?

Not a safe hull type for those kinda mph, get yourself a gullwing.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Thanks for the info guys I appreciate it, the boat has a rounded keel and I have very limited data to what mix of hulls were put into the Dimarcos. I only know what I have read on this site and very little I have found online about them. I don't have any pictures of the bottom but when I do the pump set back I will take some and post my progress. I live in wisconsin so it's in deep storage till next month, hopefully can start to work on it in march weather depending. I actually bought this boat from a gentleman on this site that goes by the name of newbomb terk. Any more info that anyone feels like sharing would be greatly appreciated. Any suggestions on who to talk to about doing the pump?
