    Default Panther Pump Lube?

Guys ... what kind of oil or grease are you suppose to use on a Panther Pump? There is a plug on the inside of the boat just above where the shaft goes into the pump. I was told to lube it each time I took it out. Is that right?

Don't they just run 90w in there? The plug has a 'dipstick' end on it if I remember right...

Malcom is correct on the 90 wt and the reservior "volume" is very small , about 3 OZ as I recall (to much oil will cause the brg to o'heat , if it doesn't have the dipstick I have some, if it has a plug or zerk and appears to have been "greased" its only a matter of time before it fails the double Timkin bearing design was to utilize oil Folks do the "grease" thing because of seal failures on these jets Tom

don't forget about greasing the rear bushing. The zerk is found by looking into the nozzle....you may need a flashlight.
