Default How to Twin Turbo LS Engines

Looking for some advice on whats the best way to go to set up twin turbos on a LS engine, LS1 or2 or L98 probably. Will be stock engine, prepared to upgrade cam/springs, probably 10psi max, to go in marathon boat. I know it has been done before and was successful. I am not that up with the injection side of things but it seems to be the way forward. So can I buy a kit to slap onto an engine that contains everything I need with intercoolers, or do I need to make it up? Any advice appreciated.

IMPATIENT 1 has a lot of experience with some really nice system routing/integration. If it were me, I would do a 6.0 and keep the compression UP if you are only going to run 10psi.

Nice boat. Will you be racing? If you go MPFI, take a look at Holley if you want a good tune. I really like it on mine. Either HP or Dominator if you want more plug ins for data. What fuel are you going to run? You could definitely skip race gas all together if you ran water/meth injection. It will really make a difference in the way it runs top end. Both HP and Dominator holley systems will control that too if you go with a Holley. I have Banks and it works side by side as well. If you run two AFR sensors on the holley you will get it running very well.

Yes will be racing it, was hoping not to use water meth as its another thing to deal with and more weight. Going to run the stock injection with bigger injectors had planned on using a Link computer as they are common here. So if the aim is 600-800 hp, top end of 5500-6000rpm what size turbos do I run? Thanks

Probably 60-65mm twin. 6000rpm at 10psi should achieve your goal. Where will you be racing? Got a Link to this common Link computer system for the efi?

Will be racing rivers mainly in the North Island of NZ, maybe down South if I get a chance. Here is a Link ECU, I am not exactly sure what model I need, they vary in price from $1300 up, maybe you could post more about the Holley or similar set ups? Wll run on 98 octane or av gas.

New Zealand...I guess I won't be driving to watch! I looked up the G4. Not a ton of detailed info. The accelerometer feature is cool. Maybe you could use that. If those Links are common in NZ and they are good, maybe stick with that system. Have you thought of a single turbo with your set up and power goals? You may be more efficient at a lower rpm. Like maybe 5500rpm instead of 6000rpm with twins? Ask the turbo manufacturer. I can see where longevity is a concern.

Always wanted a twin and they seem a tidier arrangement, this is my local river when the marathon came thru last, this is the kind of racing will be doing.

Video not working for me. Maybe later.

Does your class have a HP limit? I know "Balls" factor in, but curious

Sounds like it will be a blast for sure. What Impeller are you planning to run for 10psi ?
