I will tell you the water up here has been extreeeemly high, for a change. I think it is a bad thing being we will need water around Oct and won't have it at the rate they are dumping it now.

Where is a good place to camp in Yuma? Or for that matter where can I park my MH next to the water so I can leave the boat in the water like at Parker? We usally stay at River Lodge and the boat and motor home are like 10 feet from each other. I know I usally dont sleep that good when the boats in the water overnight.

In Yuma, You can park your motorhome in Full hook ups at Fishers landing but you will not be 10' from your boat more like 100 yds from the launch ramp and docks.

You can also park at the "air strip" for $5 per person per night When they see you to collect. with no hook ups which is almost the same distance from the water.

You can get beach front spaces at Hidden shores a little down the river (But still boating distance from everything at martinez lake or Rhino on the trail to the bar at fishers or martinez) Hidden shores has a lot of rules and is fairly spendy but as far as a family place especially with youngsters, this is a great place with a white sand beach and a playground and 9 hole golf course along with quiet time at 10.

I'll have to make some plans ,for different parts of the river this year. We stayed at senators wash a couple years ago. We were coming home from Texas and just pulled in there for the night without a boat. Nice ramp and dry camping. I have never been in the river down in Yuma, looks real nice.

I have it from a good source that the water levels at Big River have been high and come up early in the morning.

Can't say personally as I haven't been, but I trust the source.

They did this last year early on too. Brought it up early and left it up late, then when summer hit............just a trickle.

Plenty of water in Blythe. I'm 5 miles below Twin Palms & the level is way up. Saw Bill Scotten & Pam skiing on Sat. Brrrr.
I may be growing older, but I refuse to grow up!

Twin Palms can be sketchy, stay up river from there if possible. When going down river getting through to the next park (Ranchos) can be very shallow even if there is alot of water. Just be careful, upriver is fine for the most part.
