    Default Stainless Steel E-Bay Headers

Has anyone used the stainless headers they are selling on E-bay? If so do you know what size/type threads are used on the waterline fittings?

If you are talking about the ones sold by "Speed Daddy", contact "jyeager" on this forum. It is his orange Southwind Tunnel Dragster in the pics and in the install video.

I'm not sure who sold them, a friend of mine bought them. Several people are selling them, the water line nipples have some weird threads in them, must be some metric crap. A 3/8-16 bolt will screw into them and apparently they don't sell water lines for them. If anyone knows what threads they are please let me know.

Can't speak for the water line bungs but the headers themselves seem to be of good quality. SS for that price, I had to at least try em. Jyeager (Orangazum) is doing pretty well using them for racing on the his Southwind and his new PC. He gave me some info on them when I started a thread a while ago asking about them. Thumbs up so far.

If the 3/8-16 was a bit of a sloppy fit, but did not bind up, you are probably looking at a 10mm x 1.50 thread.

I personally don't belive Chinese don't are completeley aware that they are making Pool cues, Headers, machine parts or "flippedy widgets" , they are simply welding pieces together to make something period and to sell to the American performance along with a multitude of other parts and pieces ans accesories , and yes the headers are routinely sold as "water injected" but are sold without T valves or water injection lines .... as they simply don't make or supply the same ... actually the quality of their fabrication work is actually pretty decent, We have the correct fittings and are producing line kits and T valves for these Tom

There's a few on eBay. The ones from China have had some problems with alignment. Ports not matching, boltholes not lining up, things like that.

There's a guy out of the Midwest that makes and sells them. I've heard those aren't bad at all. Not very expensive.

Either way, I'm still of the belief that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The turbo headers for sbc and ls are proven to hold up very well at this point but they do have the typical misalignments mentioned that have to be dealt with.

I have a season on my thru transom ebay headers. I just modified a set of Bassett water injection lines. I believe the bungs are 1/8 pipe by #4 male flare. My headers have been trouble free. They have a real nice thick mounting flange

The only thing that will fit the bungs on these headers is a 3/8-16 bolt. The bolt will thread all the way in with no binding, 1/8 pipe has a finer thread. I wonder if all of these headers are the same ? We are thinking about welding some tubing onto the bungs and using rubber hose.
