Default School me on Nozzle Inserts

FTN nozzles , how do you determine which one ?
Took new setup out and with. purple (3") nozzle , Detailed SS "A" impeller ,Stuufer plate , and HM inducer ..motor pulls 6400 easily and hits limiter but doesn't blow pump out and stays loaded . This is only with 2# boost on motor ...I plan on upping to at least 12# and limiter bumped up to 7200 or so
I have a full set of FTN factory inserts plus some custom sizes down to 2-7/8"

so so what's the skinny on picking a nozzle insert ?

Shrinking the nozzle is kind of crutch for other bad hardware set up. You should be able to run 3.125 then maybe as fine adjustment go up or down .030 to .060 max
