    Default 1977 daytona elimnator flat keel

    i was looking for pics and specs on the keel of a daytona with a flat keel then adding the rounded bump i dont know what its called i guess rounded keel ? i have some work to do around the intake of the boat i heard if i do this it wil help the performance and handling of the boat .......thank you very much .........

    I converted my Daytona 19 flat to a round a few years back. B1 racing in Santa Ana did the work, it was pretty lengthy process building it up layer by layer and then making sire everything was straight and true.

    Here it is early in the process with just a few layers added. Once you add enough layers it's then shaped by hand.

    Ervin did the bottom on my last daytona and Duane at hi tech rigged the boat and built the pump.Very happy with both of their work.

    Flat keel works fine with the correct hardware.
