    Default Bowl gasket

Replacing bowl gasket. 10 years since it was replaced when the pump was rebuilt and over 200 runs. Getting ready for upcoming KDBA race. Silicone or not? I`ve thought about applying a thin coat of silicone on both sides of the gasket, letting it cure and then install?? Are there any recommended torque values on a Berkeley pump? Many thanks in advance.

1/2 inch bolt torque should be in the 60 lb. Range. I like to put sealer on non double drilled bowls. They seem to want to blow out between the bolts.
