Just wonderin how many of of you guys with jet boats hit up the Delta on the Regular. Also what are some of the best spots to drop in? I've just been going out to twin bridges thus far but I'm lookin to branch out.
It's the Stockton KOA but here's the info as posted elsewhere-
KOA has reserved a bunch of campsites for an outing for Friday night July 31 and Saturday night Aug 1. Quite a few of the sites have been taken but there are still many left. If any of you are interested in having some fun, please feel free to join in.
Here's a link to a map that shows the campsites. http://www.geocities.com/curly95901/..._campsites.htm
All the sites in blue are available. Just call KOA, 1-800-778-6937, and ask for the site you want and post up when you take it. I don't think they'll be holding the sites much longer, 3 or 4 weeks or so. Deposits are refundable up until 1 week before the 31st of July.
We have been going to the Delta for 38 years first or second week every August. We have a big group( 80 to 120 people about 10 to 12 boats.)that camps at Viera's Resort. I am the only jet boat, all of the others have ski boats.
We usually ski up the deep water chanel about 10 miles. Then go on some long runs to Tower Park or Wimpy's for lunch. But most of the time we ski and float the Sacremento river. I have white and red C P. Sometimes you have to watch out for the big yachts that throw huge rollers. Most of the time they slow down for you. This might piss people off but my son skied from Old Town Sacremento all the way back to Viera's blowin all the 5mph areas. It was just one of those epic days. Anyways the Delta is a must see in your boating life time. Have fun
