Question 19' Daytona Pictures Where is the new stuff???

I'd like to see new detail pictures of quality workmanship...not at speed because anyone can take that picture.

Not sure if it would be classified as "Quality" work, but l will post a few pictures.
This is an "R" intake. It was blank when l got it from Jack. It had no loader boss, or mounting holes. When the loader boss is machined into the bottom, it can go threw into the top. That is why the extra pad is welded on the top.

A little preliminary work before setting the intake into the center pod. Fill the space when the pump was pushed back with the vacuum bag process. Vacuum bag the intake curb, with carbon fiber, and Kevlar. Then vacuum bag a large section of carbon fiber from stringer to stringer to pull it all together.

After setting the intake, start to add balsa for the drop keel. The last Daytona keel l did, l used all Fiberglass mat to build the spoon. When l cut the bottom for intake fit, l was surprised at the weight of 2"x8"x1/2" piece that was removed. I didn't like the thought of the total weight added of the glass and resin for the over all spoon. So this time l made the bulk of the shape with balsa, vacuumed to the bottom. Bagged Kevlar, carbon, and glass with white pigment added to the resin before sucking it in the bag.

This is how it looks when it was done. Don't know if it's wright or wrong, but that's what l did? I guess time will tell if its quality work. This picture is primed and painted. Color sanded, and polished.

Steve, she's come a ways since I've seen her. Lookin good

Perhaps you and I will both be on the water in the coming year. Would be cool to do a victory lap of the Delta together

That would be cool. Don't know about this year, this new place is consuming all the spare time. That and the kids.
Most of that work was done in February, March ish. Haven't touched the boat since May. 😐
    Merry Christmas, and be safe!
