I used to ski behind one allot in the 80's, not a real fast boat
(it had a 460) but it rode smooth and was a good family cruiser.

They are a good family ski boat. Too heavy to go very fast. 70-75 mph is about their speed limit before they start having handling problems. But, they have a lot of room and ride real good.

Going fast is only half the fun ... what you make go
    fast is the other half.

im not looking to go crazy fast or anything, just something to get me down the lake fairly decent, and skoething to just cruise around in. not much into racing or anything. and dont have a family. but i just wanted to make sure that it wasing going to make me regret riding across the lake with an awful ride. btu does anyone have pics of theirs

Considering you are in Cali, jet boats seem to be a dime a dozen. I would just look around for a bit and see what else you can get for $3500..... if the Glastron looks good after looking around....well then go for it....... I would offer less for it though....and I am sure they would be open to an offer
