    I,am not sure I understand what your asking?But I will say this,it is a solid and should be treated as one.A C- clip holds it together,and if you shake it it will rattle but the center piece does not move.What this type lifter does is restrict the oil flow to the top of the motor at high RPMs.

    A Solid Lifer that is actually solid is very heavy. In order to lighten the lifter for less valve train mass they often make the body of the lifter hollow, then they put a plate with the push rod pocket on top. The push rod socket rests on a shoulder in the lifter body and is held in place with a c-clip.
