Default Help with 3 Point Mount

This is my first time using a 3 point mount. I'm having trouble getting the yoke to slide on to the splines of the shaft. I have the rear mount bolted to the back of the engine with the u-joint assembly bolted to the PTO. I'm trying to lower the engine in and slide the yoke onto the pump shaft. Is this the preferred method? I see no other way to do it. It would be impossible to bolt the yoke to the u-joint assembly if I started with the yoke already in the pump shaft. Anybody have any tips?

Did you try (test fit) the female spline into the pump shaft to insure fitment ? if so and it was a easy fit it gets a bit tricky when lowering the engine into place to engage the splines to engage without the front mounts interfering . you might try loosening the front mounts from the stringers (leave them in the bilge below the engine) , get the driveline engaged and slide the rear mount in place then bring the front mounts back up and bolt them up

I finally got it to pop in. I had it together before to mock everything up and set the angle. I had to take the engine back out to drill the holes for the front mounts. When I connected it the first time, the bowl was off which allowed me to wiggle the impeller back and forth to help spline it together. This time the bowl was on so I couldn't do that. Thought there might have been a trick or an easier method. What a PITA!
