Thanks- Posted some pics under the you shot it section- Actually, Bought the boat 80% this way- Added the NOS, and a few other things- Purple Metalflake and airbrush really hit the sun- Cherry Creek Res is o.k- Boyd Lake in Loveland is where I usually hang!
Well, I used to drag Nitrous Harleys, and all the NOS guys say you have to have 15 degree angle for the nos bottle- Air scoop just happens to have that 15 degrees, plus I had no other place without people kickin' it, so up it went. Only weighs 12 pounds (Carbon Fiber) , and it looks bad to boot!
Ah, worse that could happen would be something to fly up and hit the bottle towing down the road and launch it thru the cars windshield behind you. Looks safe to me Hammer on!
If I have a 1 foot chop, and keep her with the rev limiter at 6200, I can hit 87.6 GPS- With 4 people. If I swap out rev pills, and hit the NOS at about 65 mph, and don't run out of lake, she can hit an honest 91.0 By the way, thats here at 5,281 feet in Denver
Oh yeah, Forgot to mention that the hull is a special mixture of speedcote, herculiner and rain-x, all blended together- good for another 8 mph top end.
With the 510 lift cam and 11.5 compression(here at altitude), you have to run super lean anyway- The NOS only is good for afew more miles on the top end- maybe 6 or so, actually. Motor without NOS is about 520 horse, and I rarely will put in the biggest nos jets because I have to also change the fuel jets, witch also means dialing in the carbs EACH time you change NOS jets-Since i have a plate system, and each plate is good for up to 250 shot,I generally( to be safe) stick with about 175 shot. The difference is kickin in the NOS and throwing a 360 foot rooster verses 300. Thats where the real fun comes in.
Allthough we all like HP and speed, Im going to have to say that your boat wouldnt hit 80 on the bottle on a good day. Im not here to bash you at all, just telling the facts.....
My boat has 800 hp (on the motor) and only runs a hundy.....
Just the Facts for Futs- Sunoco 110, modified V bottom, Pump has stage 3 flow, mag impeller, white lightning top loader, coated hull of speedcoat, rain-x and herculiner, bored and throated twin holleys with lightened offy tunnel ram, polished and ported C code heads. I take the engine to 5800 in my driveway off the hose. Don't think she does 80? Get Real- I idle at 1800 in the no wake zone, and get her to 65 in nothing flat- Don't know what your running, but she will hit 6200 all day long without the NOS-Yeah, she shakes and pitches all over hell and half of Georgia at 86, and low 90's are scary-fast, but she does it.
I just had my 23' Wriedt up over 50 mph the other day...
Well, that was behind my truck bringing her home from having the motor pulled.
Keep in mind, this was in a 45 mph speed zone, but I still cruised her home while hanging my head out the truck window giving the Po-Po's dirty looks, but I'm ruthless like that.
They trying to catch me rollin dirty, that's why they hatin...
