Just wondering if it's as easy as it looks. I have what I believe is a 16' sidewinder SS with an olds 455 and Berkley 12jgb jet.
It looks like I need to remove the bolts that go through the front cross-member, unbolt the driveshaft from the flywheel.
What i am not sure about is do I unbolt the engine from the bell housing or it looks like there is a saddle type clamp that goes around the front of the pump. Can I just loosen that and slide the engine away and up?
Your description indicates you have a typical 3 point mount set up.
Actually it is easier.
Of course loosen the exhaust hoses, disconnect the water in hose, disconnect all the electric.
Unbolt the front mounts. Unbolt the saddle clamp, lift slightly and slide the engine forward about an inch and a half to disengage the driveline from the jet, the lift out of the boat.
