Thing is a freak. They make 8-10 passes a day, been doing it for a long time without incident . That engine has 300-400 passes on it. They live right on a river and run it every day.

I believe its the fastest gullwing in the country.

Your statement really could be said about any of our boats.

Congrats to him for being the first small block in QE. That is what I was wanting to do.

I sure pissed a lot of people off when I would say if I had it to do over again I would run a small block.

So you are saying that'd you think losing power in a gullwing would be the same as losing power in a daytona/cheyenne/tpr? Fuck that. Every gullwing I have ever seen lose power has pitched the driver. Most of the time a tunnel will shut down straight, not every time but most.

Even better lets make a QE pass to 1000 ft and both pull our kill switches....

I wont argue the point with you. I wouldnt drive it. Just seen many passes -- ran several right beside him. Boat has never made a move. Like its on rails, even on shut down.
Lose power unexpectedly at over 130-- will he get tossed? Maybe so, not sure, but it could happen to one of us too. I agree that I like my tunnel better in that scenario. I hope they dont have any problems. Owner & his father are great people.

As much as I admire the performance honestly I don't think I would put my son in that one to race.

We never really leaned on the Daytona. I didn't see the point in pushing it with him driving.
