    What cam is the best to run in a BBC. I have a 468 with a AA in the pump

    That's a very general question....with sooooooo many variables. What intake, carbs, pistons, heads, valve sizes, compression ratio......etc...etc....etc.....

    right now it is a stock bottom with JE pison running about 10.0 compression. they are stock oval heads flowed to intake. the intake is a dual plane hihg rise. i will prob be changing the valve to the bigger size and getting a new intake

    I just ordered a cam for my 468 rebuild from Chris Straub. It was very reasonable priced as well as some other parts. He was extremely helpful and I've heard nothing but good things about him. You can PM him, he goes by cstraub on here.

    Go to Engle Cams web site-

    follow their guideline as to what size engine and desired HP Curve & operating RPM-

    Note the relative specs - Go shopping.

    I just went througth this with Comp Cams Friday.

    With a 396 10.8 comp, ported 110 cc heads single plane and 750 cfm They suggested an XM278 to bleed off some cyl pressure so I can stay on pump gas. Thats with an A or B impeller.

    I have an XE274 sealed in box that I'm now looking to get rid of.
