    Default Replacing Tanks (pics)

I cut the old steel tanks out of the Rogers today and have some questions. Who has had custom tanks made, and who made them? Im looking for aluminum and they have a specific shape to them. I want nice ones. Where can I buy some matt, 1708, and resin to glass in new tanks when I get them? Last, im going to build new seat mounts. Should I mount them flush to the bottom of the hull, or give them a little space when I glass them in for flex kinda like a kick board is mounted?

    Default tanks

Tanks R Us in havazoo can make em. And usually the bottom of the boat is thick enough to not flex, so make em fit the bottom tight. Search internet for fiberglass supplies. Pat

I can't remeber the right now, But I recall seeing a place called "Arrow fuel tanks" I believe that is the name. They are in Corona just off the 91 freeway on the west bound side of the 91 somewhere around the "Lincoln" off-ramp. I saw them everyday on my way out to a job at Kasier Riverside hospital. I believe they are next to Corona Motorsports (motorcycle dealer) I am not sure if they can help, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Imco made Rogers aluminum tanks, I bet they still have the patterns. Yes, they are twisted...the tanks, not Fred.

Thanks old rigger, I will give them a call. They really fit nice and I like the way the carpet on the flat surface of the tank looks. I really dont want to put the long cylinder tanks in it.

Yes, I faxed them a drawing with dimensions and placement of filler, pick up and senders, also tabs to glass. Seems like they were around 550.00 for the pair. Received them in less than 2 weeks.
