Default Sounds like a smoking deal

6th Street guys should know this boat and owner ... spoke to him, sounds like a great deal, intake might need to be reset for 90+ mph, but other than that, it is an MPD pump that was freshened by Tom Papp before his passing ... sounds like a steal, DJD you got any information on this ride?

Yeah buddy..................on it like white on rice!

Pulled the cash took the day off and gassed the truck up.

Also ran by Jett Performance and talked to Dan Nelson about the intake situation.

It needs some work, but has a lot of potential.

That boat belongs to my budy Matt who moved to Tenesee. We used to run around in that thing all the time. I built a 468 tunnel ram deal for it and it would run rite at 100 with no problem. It is a 19 footer i believe not an 18 but it used to be a sweet ride. It is like a dark purple with yellows orange and red. The pump has a stainles impeller detailed by MPD and a brand new jetaway. The intake was set but it was slightly off when he set it so he never ran it since then and thats been probably been almost ten years. Thats the long and the short of it.

That boat was on the water probably 6 years ago. I remember it out there. I thought it was your buddy Matts.

Three things really. Being an 18 it had less room in it. Norm Evans (Moose) was cool enough to run by and check the boat for me (sorry to have wasted your time Norm). He gave it a clean bill of health and the seller was someone he knew. Very nice guy and a straight shooter. The seller was very honest with me on the phone and told me straight up that the boat was too light for a family type ride and from Norm's description he was right. By the sounds of it it's more like a 400 lb layup possibly even less than that.

Once again Norm. I know I thanked you half a dozen times for doing that for me, but I'm really grateful. A true hotboat brother.

Combination of things then................too small, too light, too far away, and a little higher than my budget would allow.

It would make someone a nice boat, but more for racing or maybe two people. Definitely not a family of four (sometimes five).

    You're right, it's a 19.

That's cool..............history. It won't be running that fast with my 650 hp BBF, but it'll be faster than my Kachina. Squirtcha? was a great ride and sturdy as heck, but heavy. You could stand four people on that deck and it would barely flex. Lots of great memories will go with that one.
