That was Turtle driving RR's boat racing a guy named Ryan in his 19' CP ... Ryan's boat is a 85-90mph ski boat.

He should of at least linned up with Zach.
That would of been a good race.

OK........ This is why I have problems here, I guess. This is a 85-90 mph ski boat that on Memorial day lost to Mudpumper by 1 boat length with Mudpumper squeezing all the way down the track to catch him. If MudPumpers boat runs 92-93 with no NOS(97-98 with NOS), and Ryan runs 85-90, why would Mudpumper squeeze for 800' to catch and finally pass him?????????

To me, it was a CP with a BBC, Tunnel Ram, Headers, MPD Pump and raspy sounding Roller cam with stout compression. He said it was a 489" BBC, and mine is a 514" Ford with like equipment. I figured it would be a good race.

This is EXACTLY why I don't like to race you guy's Brian. Even when I win, I lose.

Not a bad job for Turtle's first time driving my boat(ever), and putting on a LifeLine(ever). As I said, I can't drive for the time being.

One suggestion. If you are going to have this again, think about planning it for the end of April-beginning of May when there is PLENTY of water to fill the Lagoon. It's real low at the end of the year. I had to trailer the boat and pull two more man sized Rocks out of the impeller before I could even get across the River to set up the race.

So, that's 3 dents in the impeller, and 2 bent preloader blades. It will go to Bill before the October race.

Did end up having a good time, as we always do.
Hope everyone else had the same.

Actually Tim, it's too bad you broke. We were looking to line up with you sometime during the evening. Hope you get everything back together.

My boat is 525-550 pounds. I can have a party on the deck, in fact, everybody saw my 250 pound kid Kris laying on the deck on our way back across the River after the races(only 2 seats).

I was told Zach's boat weighed 480 pounds, but it sat almost 2" higher in the water than mine does. Not saying anyone's a liar. Just saying that someone needs to recalibrate their scale.

I don't think it would have been a competitive race. Will be soon, but not Saturday.

    It was fun anyway.

    RR

By the way. I have some video on a disc and am trying to figure how to post it. NO, NOT JUST OF ME, OF EVERYONE. I'll figure it out and post it up(taken right at the wire across the River).

You won the race ... fair and square. You beat him by quite a bit.

I'm not baggin on you or Turtle ... Darrin said he didn't know who it was, I was just saying what the driver told me.

You and I were there on the sand bar standing next to each other. I was sober (didn't drink all day) so why the harsh sound of the post? I'm not bashing.

    You won.

I'm almost over this Dennis, a debate is one thing ... but you constantly being in defensive mode is getting old. Look at what I posted and see if I said ANYTHING about your boat other than your son was driving and who/what the other boat was.

    Jeezus ... relax.

That's the same CP. The guy stayed next to us back on the golf course during Memorial Day weekend.

Doesn't look like you weren't chasing him down or that the race was won by 1 boat length.

He told me then as he said again this weekend that his ride ran 85-90 and he didn't care if he won or lost, just wanted to have fun. Why would the guy lie? If he was going to lie ... he'd tell tall tales of how fast his boat was instead of admitting how slow it is.

It doesn't matter to me. They raced more than 1 time, and I was standing right there watching all of them.

    IT DOESN'T MATTER TO ME.

Looks like the same old, blah, blah, blah is starting.

    Have a nice night.

The RR boat looked better in the video for that short run. Was the water that crappy to not leg it past the wire/lagoon?
