    Question Helm ID

Can anyone identify the helm in these photos and if so tell me what it is and what is needed to get it back in operational order? Also, can it be gun drilled for accepting the trim switches that Rex Marine or Dana Marine offers? If not, I'll have to consider changing everything out. Thanks

I do not believe that one could be drilled.

Then I guess I can pretty much pull that out and replace it. Any suggestions?

Best just to replace it. I did mine got it thru a local guy but it is a Teleflex. Just be careful on the measuring, I ended up about 2 ft to long

Yeah, measuring the cable length is somewhat clouded. I see several different ways to measure and most of them deal with outboard or I/O motor application. I have an old sterring cable and maybe I'll run that and see what I end up with. It came out of 19' Miller so I know it's more than long enough.

    Default Hey Greg...

    Call me!

I've got my machine shop gun drilling rack system shafts as we speak.
My plan is to sell pre drilled shafts with a "core" charge.

That's what I'm afraid of too. It's the one time that you can measure three times and still get it wrong.
