Steve I would recommend that you pull all the wedge out and just run the droop. The boat will be much quicker out of the hole and more of what you are looking for. I have set two of your style boat up. They seem to work real good with no wedge even with a heavy load. I would like to help you test and try some things out on your boat. Can you take a few pics of the bottom in front of the intake ?

Doesn't a wedge defeat the purpose of a droop snoot..?

The droop sets the actual stream/flow lower in the water, & the wedge brings it back up.? (only at a different angle)

my 18' tahiti has always performed better with a good amount of wedge when using a droop. both on the bottom and top end. I'm going to go to a straight snoot for next season and see what happens.

I ran the straight snoot with 4.5 degrees up wedge. It was a hull deal and that boat required everything you could do to jack the nose up.

When I first installed the snoot, I got no gains. Duane and I spent some time communicating back and forth and with his instruction and all that wedging, I picked up 2.5 mph on the big end.

Worked great on my Kachina 18. I'm guessing similar hull.

P.S. prior to putting the snoot on I was running the same Place Diverter droop you have there.
Although to be fair, my pump was setback, I had a shoe and rideplate on it.

After hours/days of tuning and messing around with different setups it was still a solid 2.5 mph gainer.
