Add four feet of pipe, and another 90 to this, flip it over, you have the Wisconsin DNR db. sound checking device.

Give me 10 minutes and I can have an option in black (ABS) for that rat rod look. I also offer 3". I spent that day in the home depot plumbing department so this makes me laugh. Of course this is back east because you can't get 4" PVC street 90s at home depot in CA. We use ABS mainly. Back east they use PVC as I have seen on the home shows. I really want to e-mail this guy with some questions but could not do it without calling him an idiot so I am going to refrain. Tom, send him some JBP decals and the "mufflers" would surely fetch the $150 buy it now price. Maybe with some CYCO Designs decals he could claim 100 mph. lol.

Gulp, well you have to respect his creativity (sorta) Are they worth $100 or even $50? No stinkin way BUT, last summer we were at a Offshore poker run that had one of the county's finest sound checking every single one of those boats before they could enter the run. The big talk was surrounding the one guy that spend a ton of money buying some shiny chrome "downturn mufflers" on his offshore rig. While they weren't made out of PVC I'm certain that they cost more than $100 and served the exact same purpose.

As much as I hate it, we're getting leaned on really hard up here over noise and the more folks that are trying to come up with some alternative solutions the better...

    Turbochargers muffle very well.

My buddy and I had lunch together today and we were remembering when they first started doing the db launchramp level test, I brought my calibration transmitter with me and turned it on everytime they tried to test, what do you know, every single boat they tested was right at 100 db, they had to let them in the lake because I also turned it on when he was talking to it to see if it worked, the ranger could speak softly at 100 db I don't think I've laughed that hard since...

BTW, the frequency is too high for a human to hear, sounds like a mosquito....

They changed meters now, anyone know what they're using?
