Default Place diverter/ How do you?????

Ok, so I have owned my share of jets but I just picked one up and it dosent have any of the goodies including the place diverter. So........... my question is with the mild motor I have, how do I get the biggest rooster tail possible? I ask because Im done with trying to be fast and always wrenching/paying someone to wrench and just want to have some fun " squirtin " water. Do I need a wedge and droop or just the diverter with some work. I met a guy a few years back that asked me if I wanted him to work on my diverter to make a huge rooster so I am assuming there is something that can be done on the internals? Please tell me what you think. Thanks.

The cheap and quick method is to slot the top of the nozzle outlet about an inch wide and two or three inches long and clearance the back of the gimball housing to allow more travel....

I never said it and be careful, but you should be able to obtain a 300' long 30' high rainbow with some decent power....

Be careful using it or modifying it?

since you're not concerned with speed just get a diverter and a rooster booster or a couple of wedges.

third item pictured is the rooster booster-

Just curious if the end game is for the boat to "air out" and run the best/fastest or if the big "roost" is what desired ? Tom

To me theres a huge difference between the "salute the crowd" or "wet down the bridge" funtion and useing the jet trim to get the most out of the Jet boat and its performance . When you wedge and set up for the "Big roost" , you don't always get the best overall performance/optimum performance thru the entire range from you boat. I sell a lot of diverters a season and its surprizing how many folks never considered what they are truly designed to do Tom

I know thats not there main purpose but I would still like to have a big roost. I live in CO now so I will never have a " FAST " boat here due to elevation so I would like to at least spray some water.

Brian what did you pick up? pick up a couple of Wedged degree rings. I have a 4° in the Liberator. You may try a 3°. Like Tom said, your going to loose that downward motion in the diverter. Backing up may be affected. The flow will be pointed straight down rather that angled to the front.

Anytime I've seen a huge roost its been formed by a Huge amount of power.
