bought this about a month ago, so far I've worked on it more than I've had it in the water, but that's normal right??

looks like a great start.only a couple reasons why people sell boats, either theres nothing wrong, just need themoney,or something is wrong, and its your turn to fix it.been there with two boats.on the third, went first cabin, and alls weel.the bugs will get worked out,so fix and enjoy.

That is about how it goes, I know a person that just bought a turn key blown alky jet boat took it home rode in it for 5 minutes and then took the engine out of it and is building a bigger one.

    Default Wait a second?

You guys mean these arent just for working on, Your supposed to actually take them to the water for more than just test runs? Dont worry about having to work on it, thats half the fun for me, If I didnt like having to work on mine it would be long gone.

    27T-

I see that you have Hardin exhaust manifolds on your 455 that look the same as mine but what are the OT pipes on it are those custom? I have through transom pipes on mine and would like to do a set up like yours. Can you give me some info on them if possible? as well some more detailed pics?

Thanks in advance if you can help. Feel free to PM me if you need.

Rewarder still makes ot pipes for logs, and they are the only ones I know of, I think they were selling for like 700 bones though, for that I would just find a used set of headers.

Nice looking boat ! but thats what you do, ride them then fix them. It keeps us in the garage and out of mama's way. Hope she don't find all the reciepts from the speed shop!!!

Thanks for the info, I'm with you for 700 bones I would go for the used headers. My buddy owns a pipe shop, maybe he can fabricate some for me. would I gain anything with the log manifolds other than aesthetics and maybe volume by doing so?

The guy I bought the boat from had the pipes made. I can take pic of them if you want. The manifolds are JUNK, hopefully will have enough $$ to buy OT headers next year....
