    Default I just found out

That a new sheet metal tunnel ram, single carb. from Wilson Manifolds. Is $4000.

My question is since I am running a single carb. tunnel ram would a new sheet metal one give me any more gain. The one I have now is an old school Wieand, and has not given me any problems what so ever.

Just thought I would ask if spending to much money for Technology would pay off.

    Thanks

Depends on the motor. A cast manifold is good enough for most. If you really want a Wison manifold though I've got one that is real nice I might part with.

I think it would only if the rest of your combination matched it. And if it's going in the boat in your avatar with the bimini top you might get more bang for the buck with a cast intake (and a bunch of trips to the lake with the rest of the money).

Im going to give up bro! Here is the key to what you wrote "and has not given me any problems what so ever. ". Also FYI you can buy a T-ram for a helluva lot cheaper than that.

Jimmy he cant go blower with his higher compression without making major changes..

More than likely if you are running a 468 or even a 496 up to 6,000 the single T/R isn't doing anything for you. You could replace it with a new Dart or Brodix Hi-rise single and pick up hp and trq.

Save or spend the $ 4,000 on something else, although Wilson intakes look damn cool, but on single T/R at less than 6,400 I would do something else with the $.

What is the engine combo ? Cu/in, heads, cam ?

Not knowing all the specs on your motor but.... 4K is alot for maybe 10-50hp depending on setup. High compression motors love the giggle gas

To add more.... Especially leave it alone if you are going to sell it like you are considering.. Also consider that if you change manifolds that you have to redo all the NOS rigging that you just had done. LEAVE IT ALONE.

Got It leaving it alone. Hey Billy I couldn't get in touch with Darner, nobody picked up the phone. I'm gonna call on Monday and do some looking around for a pump for myself. Come Hell or High water were going on Tuesday.

You are right though. Just leave it alone cause this winter she's outa here. I am going to have that bottle moved after this trip on Tuesday. I just never realized what danger could happen being so close to those headers. I'm going to have it mounted under the passenger side stringer like Squirtcha? did. It's funny how you see things differently when you bring the boat home and ponder on the set up.
