Default Impeller clearance Q?, and intake I.D.

How tight is too tight,... I have a .035 wear ring and an impeller that measures 7.192-7.194. It's a bronze wear ring and a bronze agressor impy if that matters.
Also how do you tell a low profile intake from a std? Any guesses what this is??

Kreg thats a standard intake and if you turn the impeller to 7.190 and use the .035 ring you will have .025 clearance , did you get it machined ?

A low profile intake is about an inch difference from, the suction mounting flange, to the back of the hull mounting flange. And the ride plate will dam near hit the bowl, very close.

Long story short ...not yet. For a .004 I hoped I could get away with what I have. I guess maybe not. I'm still at the "I wish this impeller nut would give me a break" stage. lol

Yep she doesn't want to come off, I'm buying a bigger wrench tonite, if that doesn't work I guess I'll cut it off. The shaft is twisted so I don't need to worry about ruining it. I've almost chisled it in half trying to beat the thing counterclock wise.

If push comes to shove cut the nut with a die grinder (in a flat) down almost to the shaft then "split the crack with a sharp chisel Tom
